Both organizations have made breakthroughs and headway in the field of cancer research and medical sciences.
One has developed Antineoplastons, a form of treatment which does not cause harm to the human body in the process of treatment, but has significantly higher success rates than that of conventional chemotherapy and or radiation.
In fact, they have achieved 27-50% success rates with inoperable childhood brainstem giloma, among others (http://burzynskipatientgroup.org/). This was previously thought to be incurable by conventional practitioners and "advanced" cancer research firms endorsed by the FDA.
Dr. Burzynski has faced several, unfounded, and unjustified legal attacks from the FDA regarding claims of "bad and illegal practices," even though Dr. Burzynski followed every single medical and research procedure put forth by the FDA and American Medical Association.
After years of litigation, Burzynski finally came to a compromise. He would practice under the watchful eye of the FDA, and he would only be allowed to treat certain cancers.
Dr. Burton developed a form of cancer treatment in the early 1960's that had over a 50% cure rate, involving the use of a "caner sera" that utilized the preexisting immune system to attack and destroy cancer cells in a pseudo-natural manner. In fact, the treatment must be controlled under strict circumstances, because there can be so much cancer in the body, that letting the immune system attack and kill it all at once may in fact overwhelm the liver and kidneys of the patient, killing them or severely injuring them.
However, this has not happened in any reported case (that I know of, if you know otherwise, please comment and provide a reliable source).
Dr. Burton appeared in front of Congress with a live demonstration in which he removed tumors from cancerous lab mice in mere minutes using his sera. Onlookers report that "the tumors seemed to dissolve before their eyes." When they questioned the legitimacy of his display, Burton rebuted, "Come down here and inject them yourself, then." Nobody took up the gauntlet.
It was later confirmed by authorities that this display was legitimate and there was no trickery involved.
Ex-congressmen, whose names shall not be disclosed (however, it would be no hard challenge to uncover their names, I do not do so out of respect), tell of how the insurance companies told them to boycott the new treatment, claiming that it "would drive them bankrupt" and that they "would cut off all congressional support" if the sera was commercialized.
Most conventional treatments claim "cancer cure rates of up to 50-85%." However, these are actually the remission rates. Remission is the state where a patient has developed cancer, it has been diagnosed by a licensed oncologist or other commercial doctor, and has been successfully treated and can no longer be detected inside the body. However, the cancer almost always reoccurs within the next year (with radiation) or six months to two years (with chemotherapy). The chance for a recurrence increases by about 25% every year for the first two-three years, and decreases 5% every year after that until the chances of recurrence have become so slim as to never be conception-ably possible within acceptable realms of reasoning.
In the most blatant and honest terms, conventional treatments, as a whole, with most treatments, will probably save 10 out of every 100 people who develop cancer when it's all said and done.
In fact, about the only cases which they can cure, are Type 2, and some cases of Type 3 cancer.
Anything above Type 3 B is usually incurable, and Type 4 of any kind is considered "terminal," meaning that there is no hope for that person.
However, the Burton clinic has sustained several Type 4 patients for over 20 years. And yet the FDA still boycotts them. In fact, before he died, Burton was forced to move his clinic to the island of Grand Bahama, The Bahamas.
This treatment has over a 50% cure rate, not a remission rate. This is the difference, and this is what will save your life.

I apologize for any and all errors, misconceptions, or just completely fucked up statements. I did not give myself much of a chance to research this as I feel the political climate for change may soon come and go, and I may end up missing it if I wait too long.
However, I can be reasonably sure of these statements. I have interviewed some of the best oncologists, talked to people and even family who have done the same themselves, and read several reports from unbiased practitioners.
I do not think the FDA should be abolished or anything along those lines. However, it is becoming more and more obvious to anyone with an iota of common sense and self thinking that the FDA and NIC have become nothing more than figureheads through which the insurance companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers shape policy and destroy competition.
Cancer rates in the U.S. are skyrocketing to the point where, in the near future, if nothing is done to stop it, the chances of being diagnosed with any one form of cancer will be 50% for every single American resident. This means that 15 out of the 30 kids in your class will die of cancer.
Needless to say, this is unacceptable in a modern world where cancer is only as big a problem as starvation in most other civilized countries.
Something must be done.
